It was a Great Escape!
I will never forget being captivated by the Australian outback, cute neat towns, the lush green farms around the base of Mt Hotham, the snow at the top, and then to Marlo where the Snowy River meets the ocean! All experienced in a single, memorable day on The Great Escape.
There were many highlights and Great Escape moments and I would like to ex-press my appreciation to all entrants, offi-cials and supporters who contributed to this fantastic event. Special thanks to Road Boss Jamie who again did a magnifi-cent job leading us through 10 days of ad-venture, and to Michelle for all the behind the scenes work. Thank you also to Terry for being willing to step up as Track Boss in 2013, to Sharon, Robyn and Ann Maree who provided invaluable support through-out the GE, to Pip for looking after PR and assisting the auctions and to all the offi-cials who provided wonderful support during the rally. Our photographers and video teams captured many of the moments and memories and a very special thanks to entrants and their support and back up teams.
Your sense of fun, wonderful spirit and commitment to the well-being of those who live with CF is out-standing and ensured a successful event. Your willingness to fundraise over $410,000 has raised the bar to another level and ensured CFA will continue to provide significant support and services to the CF community. Next year promises to be another legendary 10 day Great Escape and I encourage your registration. Feed-back and comments are always welcome and I invite you to contact me directly on davidj@cfa.org.au or 0409 000 349. I look forward to hearing from you or catching up in 2013 at Mudgee.
