A great welcome dinner and auction
took place for all rally participants
and guests
after the afternoon street parade through
Leeton’s town centre.
Mr Paul Maytom, Mayor - Leeton Shire
Council attended the dinner and
presented Terry Stewart, CEO of Cystic
Fibrosis Australia with a cheque for
$500 on behalf on Leeton Shire Council.
The only incident to interrupt the
night was a surprise hold-up by bushranger
and outlaw Ned Kelly who threatened
everyone in the room with his gun until
he had stolen over $600! Luckily, he
donated
everything he stole to CFA.
Leeton resident and long time rally
entrant Craig Willis made it an extra
special
evening by proposing to (and being
accepted by!) partner Colleen Tuckett
in front
of his Great Escape “Family” – we
wish you both every happiness.
