Daily Update – Day 10– Mt Seaview to Port Macquarie

The day's program here as PDF file

We descended Mt Seaview today, twisting and turning through the country side to Port Macquarie -our final destination! We blasted into Port Macquarie in typical style, with colourful cars, characters and horns.

We rattled the main street of town with a street parade before congregating on the town green, where clowns, jumping castles, dancers and Mr Hooker Bear greeted us in high spirits.

Although the rally was over, the competition certain was not! Rally drivers flexed their muscles in a massive tug of war. Firstly with two teams on each end, and then uping the anti in a four teamed tug of war. What a hoot!

Later that evening we met for the final time at the presentation dinner. It was a bitter sweet experience. We enjoyed the evening with the close friends we made along the rally, however all the while knowing we have to say goodbye -at least until next year! In 2010 The Great Escape takes us south toward Kangaroo Island and Bateman's Bay. We look forward to seeing everyone next year for another successful Great Escape!
