It’s that time again, the 2011 Great Escape is back on the road again and it’s our 10th year!

We started today with registrations from 9am and this afternoon the cars will be doing the street parade from the Tamworth Tourist Centre from 2.30pm.  Tomorrow morning the first car will be flagged off at 8.30am and for the next nine days we travel through towns including; Emmaville, The Gums, Emerald, Bowen River, Charters Towers, Forsayth and the Undara Lava Tubes, finishing at Port Douglas on Wednesday 21st September.

We’d like to thank everybody who has been following this space and who has supported the Great Escape, and Cystic Fibrosis Australia.  Last year we raised approximately 400,000 and over the past 10 years we have raised just over $10 million dollars, thank you to everyone whom have been a part of this.  These funds all go to providing Cystic Fibrosis Research and Services.
